Twittering

Man's got a point.

A recent column in another newspaper asked whether the “long tail” of blogging was dying off. It made me question whether blogging’s long tail was ever alive in the first place. The argument was that statistical and anecdotal research indicated the vast majority of existing blogs had not been updated for at least 120 days and that amateur bloggers seem to have shifted to Facebook and Twitter, the social networking websites... It's been fun, guys... really.

Probably not going to give up forever, and there are things you can't do (directly) on Twitter, but...

This is a process of natural selection. When something new comes, everybody goes into it. Then another new thing comes and in the old blogging system you may see more professionals and less amateurs.

The blog community is still a good tolls to deliver a message. Especially nowadays when it easily could be connected with twittering, face-book and pod casting

Twitter and blog could be connected. Whatever you do on one will be reflected on other.
